Assemblies: Mindfulness

posted 2 May 2018, 07:56 by Katrina Heather
Last week students received advice from Mrs Cartmel in assembly about mindfulness and the ways that it can support the reduction of stress, anxiety and manage pain. The aim was for all students to adopt a mindfulness technique. Tutors were then offering a range of exercises during tutor times for students to try. These included 'The five senses exercise' and 'The three minute breathing space'.

The most important part of mindfulness is to recognise that it is the training of the mind and like any exercise, it will take time to see the benefits. Opportunities for students to sign up to mindfulness classes will be launched shortly. In the meantime, please speak to Mrs Cartmel or Year Managers for more information.
