Blue House Quiz and Mufti Day

posted 30 Jun 2017, 02:02 by Karen Bricknell   [ updated 30 Jun 2017, 03:27 ]

Sandown Bay Academy Blue House students have chosen to support the ‘The Ellen Macarthur Cancer Trust’ as one of our charities for 2017. The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a registered charity set up with its main aim to help children and young adults aged between 8-24 with cancer to regain their confidence through sailing.

To raise money for this very worthy cause we are holding our annual Blue House Community Day, including a mufti day, a cake sale, a staff v students event on Friday 14th July. We are also holding a Blue House Quiz on Wednesday 12th July.

Last year we were so grateful to all of the local businesses and parents who donated generous prizes for our quiz night. Together with our mufti day in 2016, Sandown Bay Academy students in blue house raised over £1200 for the Sandown Independent Lifeboat. This year, our target is over £1500.

We would be extremely grateful if you would be able to donate something, however large or small that we can use as a prize for the quiz and raffle, or a donation of a few cakes for our cake sale. I can come and collect any prize unless it can be emailed electronically or it can be dropped off at our main reception. In return, we will credit you/your company in our newsletter, on our Facebook page and in the County Press.

I look forward to hearing from you.  Thank you so much in anticipation for your support.

Yours faithfully,

Gareth Bricknell
