Principal's Blog - Friday 13th January

Progression interviews have started this week for Year 11 students. All students will have a progression interview over the next couple of weeks to ensure that they have progression plans in place for next year and so that we can identify all of the support necessary during the crucial months ahead to enable them to achieve their potential.

The message to our Year 11 students is to keep revising every day. There a wealth of resources available to them both online and in the form of revision guides and other materials. We have been delighted to see the increase in attendance at revision sessions since Brown Envelope Day and encourage all students to get involved. The next 15 weeks until exams will go very quickly!

If students are unsure of how to organise their time, or would benefit from some study tips, they may request a mentor who will meet with them weekly and support them. If you would like to request a mentor for your child, please contact Ms Hunt, Ms Sladewski or Mrs Charlemagne.

Our sixth form students are also in the final countdown to exams. We hope their mock exams have gone well and that they have provided invaluable guidance in preparation for final exams. Many of our Sixth Form students have received university offers and have been working incredibly hard to secure grades. A huge congratulations to Juliette Wrixon who received an offer this week from Cambridge University to study Engineering. This is an outstanding achievement, well done Juliette!

I am eagerly anticipating our ‘Rocket Man’ production next week. Students and staff have been working incredibly hard to prepare for the show. Please come along and support our amazing students, it will be an excellent production.

Have a restful and enjoyable weekend,

Claire Charlemagne
