Principal's Blog- Friday 21st July

This very busy last week of term has been about celebrating the many successes of our students. I was delighted to attend the Presentation Evenings and House celebration assemblies. It was lovely to see so many students rewarded; over 2000 certificates were given out, along with many trophies.

Thank you to the parents who put in so much effort this week laying on such a great spread for our staff to show their appreciation for the hard work they have put in this year.

Reports will be with you in the next couple of days along with a letter about the start of term and expectations from September(click here to read a copy).  In addition can I also add expectations with regard to haircuts. They should not be extremes of style or colour. Colours should be natural and styles should not be less than a grade 2. Any other styles will be judged by the school as unacceptable and appropriate action will be followed through. This is all about ensuring clarity, not operating a draconian model and as always we thank you for your continued support, which allows us to focus on the teaching and learning for the time your child, is with us.

I wish you all an enjoyable summer holiday and thank you all for making me feel so welcome at Sandown Bay Academy.
