All students were off timetable on Wednesday for Challenge and Achievement Day. They took part in a huge range of activities including: Careers Fair, Inter house Challenge, Team building, Outdoor Adventurous Activities, PSHE, targeted curriculum support, UCAS applications, Leadership qualifications and many more.

Thank you to the new parents who came along to the Parent Forum Meeting this week. It was lovely to see some new faces.

We were delighted to show off our school this week during our Open Morning when prospective parents joined us for tours of the Academy, led by our student ambassadors. It was lovely to hear the students talking to our visitors with such pride about their school and hearing about what makes Sandown Bay so great for them.

It has been lovely to visit our feeder Primary schools this week and to hear from the students how excited they are to be transitioning to Sandown Bay next year. This is the beginning of a journey of transition that will help them to be confident members of our school community.

The Thai students who were at the Academy last week came back today to perform a selection of traditional Thai song and dance as a sign of their appreciation for how welcome they were made to feel.

Congratulations to the U13 and U15 girls’ football teams who got the season off to a winning start. Both teams played Medina College, the U13 team won 3-2 and the U15 team won 5-0.

Enjoy half term.
