Thank you to the parents who came along to the Year 10 parent consultation event on Wednesday evening, we had very positive feedback and there were lots of focussed conversations about how students can improve in their subjects as they approach Year 11. We shared the proposed schedule of Parent Consultation events, tracking and reports for next year with our Parent Forum Group this week. They gave us their input as to when they feel each event is best placed in the academic year. As soon as this has been finalised we will share will all parents.

Congratulations to all students who were involved in the Dance Show last night, it was a spectacular showcase of all the hard work from this year.

Year 9 sports leaders ran a primary school tennis competition at Ventnor tennis club this week, the event organisers said that our students were superb and a great help.

Year 11 BTEC Sports students also put their leadership skills into practice organising and running a football tournament for Year 7 and 8 students. Over 50 students took part other three days. Well done to the winning team ‘Sunny Breeze on the Solent.’

Well done to the students who represented SBA in the Inter Schools Dressage competition this week.

SBA U15 cricket teams have had a great start to the season; both the boys’ and girls’ teams beat Medina this week.

Today has been an emotional day for Year 11 students; they had an entertaining and moving leavers assembly and no doubt will have a great time at the prom tonight. After half-term Year 11 students should continue to come into school for lessons until the last exam in that subject. There are also additional pre-exam workshops taking place, all students have been given a copy of the programme (click here to view). Don’t forget, we are open over half term for revision and support session, so please come along and make the most of the addition support offered (click here to view the programme).

Have a lovely half term. I hope the sun shines on the island.
