Thank you to the parents who came along to the Parent Forum meeting this week. It is very useful to have your feedback and input into new developments at the Academy.

Mrs Adams, our Careers, Outreach & Work Experience Officer has been at an Erasmus conference this week, finding out about more about the Erasmus programme. This is an exciting inter-school project based around Science and Languages. We will share more information with you soon.

A copy of the Year 9 options booklet is on its way home to Year 9 Parents and students along with instructions on how to complete the online choices form. If you have any questions or need any guidance with helping your child make their choices then please do not hesitate to contact us.

I have been impressed with the number of Year 11 students attending after-school revision sessions this week. Please encourage them to try out GCSE Pod (click here) at home; it is an online resource with useful revision pods. Students who have trialled it have been very positive.

Congratulations to Jordan Sundborg in Year 13 who has been named Hampshire Golf’s Junior Player of the Year. This is an amazing achievement; Justin Rose won the same award in 1993. Jordan is currently studying BTEC Sport and is hoping to get on a university golf programme.

We hosted the Island Indoor Rowing Championships this week, well done to the SBA team who came second overall.

Enjoy your weekend.
