Principal's Blog - Friday 6th June

Another great turn out from Year 11 students over May half term shows their continued commitment to achieving the very best. Their behaviour and conduct during exams has been exemplary again this week. It was lovely to celebrate with them at their year 11 prom on Friday 23rd May where their positive attitudes and behaviour made for a fantastic evening.

We have started the half term with more sporting successes. On Wednesday our cricket teams were in winning spirit. The U15 girls’ team beat Carisbooke, the U15 boys’ team beat Test Valley and the U13 boys’ team beat Ryde School.

Staff are busy planning for exciting events coming up during this busy half term. The Baylink Olympics is taking place on 24th and 25th June, this is a huge student led event and I encourage our community to come along to and support us. National School Sports week also takes place during this week with a huge range of sports and opportunities for students.

Enjoy your weekend. Year 11 students keep revising and I hope lots of you attend the Maths revision session on Saturday morning.

Next week will allow us to publically celebrate our wider success in improving the academy. The most recent Ofsted report is due to be published on Tuesday and this shows that the academy is improving very rapidly. Thank you to everyone who is supporting us.
